Can we install our own application on the control panel?
Yes. Our open Android and Linux platforms are designed for customer-developed applications. Your team can retain control of the APP, UI and ecosystem logic, while Smatek provides the hardware platform, system foundation and integration support.
Do we need to develop a completely new product from scratch?
Not necessarily. Many projects can start from an existing Smatek platform and adapt selected elements such as firmware, interfaces, wireless modules, housing or mounting structure. A deeper custom development path is only evaluated when the standard platform cannot meet the project requirements.
Can communication interfaces and wireless modules be customized?
Yes. Depending on the selected platform and project scope, we can evaluate adjustments to PoE, DC, AC power, Ethernet, RS485, UART, GPIO and other interfaces, as well as the integration of customer-specified wireless modules.
Can the product appearance and mechanical structure be customized?
Yes. Depending on the project requirements, we can evaluate housing, frame, material, color, surface finish, buttons, knobs, mounting structure, back base adaptation and tooling development.
Can Smatek support certification and compliance requirements?
Yes. Selected standard platforms are available with CE and other applicable compliance documentation. For customized products, certification requirements depend on the final configuration and target market. Testing can be arranged by the customer or coordinated by Smatek.

MOQ, NRE charges, tooling cost, sample planning, certification scope and delivery schedule depend on the selected platform and customization level.
For projects involving customer-developed software, we can support engineering samples and pilot batches during the integration and validation stage. After the product configuration and software integration are confirmed, mass production MOQ requirements apply. The final MOQ depends on the selected platform, product size and customization scope.
